Bang Chan Discusses His Personality, Stray Kids' Teamwork, And More
Stray Kids’ Bang Chan has joined Harper’s Bazaar Korea for a pictorial and interview!
Fashion magazine Harper’s Bazaar Korea unveiled its February issue cover featuring Stray Kids’ Bang Chan, who was recently named a brand ambassador for Italian luxury fashion house Fendi. The photo shoot showcases Bang Chan in a variety of captivating looks, exuding confidence while wearing Fendi’s 2025 S/S collection.
In the accompanying interview, Bang Chan spoke about the relationship among the Stray Kids members, saying, “Our relationship is more about love than friendship. While teamwork requires conscious effort, ours feels more like natural instinct. That’s why even when we make mistakes, we can understand each other and feel motivated to grow together. I think that’s the most important thing. Sometimes, even I wonder—how is this possible for us?”
When asked about the source of Stray Kids’ energy, he remarked, “If you look at each member, there’s something burning fiercely inside all of them. That fiery passion ignites even more when we step on stage. Our fans, ‘STAY,’ also keep fueling the fire. Honestly, over time, flames can weaken, right? But in our team, even if someone’s flame dies down, it quickly reignites because there are seven other sparks to keep it alive. We’re always busy warming each other up.”
Speaking about himself, Bang Chan shared, “I tend to stress over even the tiniest, unnecessary details. When I rewatch our performances, I always think, ‘Why did I do it like that?’ I’ve rarely been fully satisfied with myself. But then, what’s the point of me being satisfied alone? It matters more that others enjoy it. I’m not very self-centered. Plus, there’s no definitive answer in music.”
He continued, “When I work on music, I give it my all, and then I share it with people to see their reactions and keep refining it. I haven’t lived long, but as I go through life, I realize I owe so much to so many people—our company staff, my fellow members, my family, and my friends. I want to give back to them. To do that, I think creating results that bring even a bit more satisfaction to everyone is crucial.”
Bang Chan’s full interview and pictorial can be found in the February issue of Harper’s Bazaar Korea.
