Korean Rockstar Can’t Escape Repeated Fake Death Reports, Sets The Record Straight On National Television
Korean rockstar and veteran musician Kim Tae Won has addressed the absurd fake news about his demise that seems to be popping up every now and then.
On December 17, KST, Kim appeared as a guest on MBC‘s Radio Star and mentioned that he urgently wanted to clarify the false reports about his health that keep surfacing online. “It’s quite intense,” he remarked while expressing his frustration over the repeated hoaxes about his death.

Kim mentioned that he used to ignore such fake news at first, but it became “exhausting” when his family started calling him again and again, each time they saw a new report claiming his demise. The veteran guitarist eventually decided to report it to the authorities, but the cyber investigation unit informed him that the individuals behind these false rumors were untraceable.

Comedian Kim Gu Ra, who lives in the same apartment complex as Kim Tae Won, shared his hilarious source of information about the rock legend’s whereabouts. He mentioned that both he and Kim Tae Won frequent the same bakery, and every time there is false news about the latter’s passing, the bakery owner updates Kim Gu Ra about his well-being. The story sparked laughter from the rest of the cast members.
Kim Tae Won was diagnosed with stomach cancer in 2011 and underwent surgery to remove the tumor. According to reports, he is now fully cancer-free.
Meanwhile, during this episode, Kim Tae Won also discussed his record-breaking earnings from working with IU. You can read about it here:
